Employees who are victims of domestic violence would be able to receive types of paid leave, which took effect January 1, 2016 (Senate Bill 492). At the beginning, the law permitted employees to use either their paid vacation or any other paid leave that is offered by the employer. Since the Senate Bill 492 took effect, the employer is to grant employees that have been victims of domestic violence. The options given are the employee using accrue sick leave or personal business leave for purposes related to domestic violence.
